This small watercolour painting depicts my local fields at their best – just long grass catching the afternoon sun in mid-summer.
I loved the way the light was filtering through the trees and pooling in the foreground, just catching the seed heads. The field took on a luminous light green, in contrast to the dark line of trees.
This piece is painted in watercolour with just a few details in charcoal and gouache.

This painting is sent unmounted for ease of shipping. It would ideally be float mounted to show the lovely deckle edge of the paper and presented in a box-type frame. It could also be mounted and framed conventionally.
