A sheltered wooded area between fields, glimpsed on a cold spring day. Bluebells, blossom and tiny leaves unfolding from sticky buds – the optimistic signs of new life. Painted on heavy weight deckle-edge paper using watercolour and gouache, with graphite and charcoal.
