A small imagined coastal scene developed from some exercises in abstraction – an enjoyable process! Layers of paint are added and rubbed back until a pleasing balance of light, shade and colour is achieved.

The painted panel is floated in a tray frame with a 5mm shadow gap on all sides. The frame is hand-finished and painted in Farrow & Ball All White (a crisp bright white).
