What’s coming up in September?

It’s been a busy year of painting and exhibiting, and there’s still more to come!

MADE in the Pewsey Vale will be hosting an artist’s collective Autumn Show at their lovely gallery in Pewsey High Street. I’ll be taking part, along with my fellow artists to put on a dazzling display of late summer loveliness. The show starts on Thursday 11th September and runs until Saturday 20th.

There’s always a warm welcome and lots to see, so why not pop along? Opening times are usually 10am until 4pm (tbc).

Without pausing for breath, I’ll be getting involved with Swindon Open Studios on the weekend of 20th & 21st September, although some participating artists will also be showing the following weekend of 27th & 28th.

This will be my third year of exhibiting with the scheme, and I’ll be showing my work from home, rather than in my studio.  I’ll be sharing the space with marythorneceramics.co.uk, so there will be lots to see. It’s a lovely weekend (if a little exhausting!) and so enjoyable to meet new people and welcome repeat visitors.

The work on show will cover a good cross-section of what I do, from large scale watercolour and mixed media paintings, to small, more abstract pieces in acrylic paint on wood panels. There will also be lots of prints and cards available, and, most importantly, cake!

Opening hours are from 10.30am until 4.30pm on both days. Brochures are available locally or check the Swindon Open Studios website for more information.
