There’s just a month to wait until the start of Marlborough Open Studios 2025! MOS takes place over the four weekends in July and invites the public to visit artist and makers in their studio environments. The scheme covers all areas of 2D and 3D art and design and is a must-see for art enthusiasts.

This year I’ll be opening up my studio and gallery/workshop area with my good friend Mary Thorne www.marythorneceramics.co.uk to show my latest work. Paintings will be in a range of materials and techniques, including watercolour & mixed media, and acrylics. As well as original pieces, there will be a selection of unframed works on paper, together with high-quality prints and cards.
Prevailing themes and subjects will be the sublimely beautiful countryside surrounding my studio and home, as well as the lovely coastal areas of Britain.

The studio will be open on the middle two weekends – 12th/13th and 19th/20th July between 11am and 5pm.
I look forward to seeing you there!
Best wishes,
Kate
PS – On Wednesday 16 July I’m doing a demonstration at East Challow Village Hall at 7.30pm.
Over the last year or so I’ve been doing painting demonstrations and workshops for art groups and societies around Wiltshire, Berkshire and Gloucestershire.
I do get a bit nervous beforehand, but they’ve invariably been really fun and enjoyable. I find that the more questions I’m asked whilst painting, the more relaxed I am, strangely! The groups are often in lovely rural locations as well, so the drive can be a bit of a treat too. Hope to see you there!
