Limited edition Giclée print of an original watercolour. My local fields in early summer are full of tall buttercups, swaying in the warm breeze.
This piece started off with the trees drawn in charcoal to created dense shadows in the afternoon sun. These areas were then fixed to enable watercolour washes to be layered over the top. The foreground was build up with layers of greens, with details and highlights added in coloured pencil and gouache.
